Senior Design Researcher & Service Designer
Joanna specializes in humanizing new technologies and creating solutions that provide value to users and businesses. Her workshop assumes using the latest achievements in scientific design and human-computer interaction, as well as combining many sources of knowledge and inspiration. Among the methods and techniques used by her is generative design research and contextmapping. She has cooperated with corporations and start-ups. She has carried out projects for Play, PizzaPortal, iTaxi, Pracuj.pl and the Tatra National Park. Working for Senfino she was responsible for leading the design research team.
Within the framework of her doctoral programme at the Tallinn University in Estonia, she is working in the field of service design entitled “Actionable service design insights”. She belongs to IDEO U Community of Practice, a group of practitioners who, under the patronage of IDEO, develop their competences in the area of creative leadership. She has been a guest lecturer at the School of Form in Poznań, SWPS University in Warsaw, Wrocław and Poznań, Tallinn University in Estonia, TUDelft in the Netherlands and Berghs School of Communication in Stockholm. Since 2013 he has been a co-author of the User Experience and Product Design report in Poland.
During the last ten years Joanna has lived in five countries. Currently, she divides her time between New York and Warsaw.
